Billing Policy & Fee Schedule
At Rutledge Family Medical Centre our aim is to provide the highest quality of care to our patients. We have dedicated staff, highly skilled experienced doctors and nurses within a well-equipped facility.

Medicare rebates have failed to keep up with the costs of delivering quality medical services. We aim to keep the out of pocket costs to our patients as low as possible while providing the best quality care.
We provide Medicare claiming for our patients where your rebate can be deposited into your nominated bank account. Reception staff are able to provide further info about this. We accept cash, EFTPOS and most credit cards. Payment in full is required at the time of your consultation.

Telehealth consultations are charged the same as a regular consult. To receive a Medicare rebate for a telehealth consultation you must have been seen in the practice for a face to face appointment in the last 12 months.

Patients with a chronic condition may be able to access a Bulk Billed consultation every 3 months to manage and support their condition.
Non attendance/Cancellation - If you do not attend or cancel your appointment within 4 hours of the appointment time a fee of $55 will apply. This fee must be paid before any further appointments are made

Appointments on Saturdays and Public Holidays have higher fees but the after rebate cost remains the same

Excisions
Excisions: On the day of your procedure, the amount listed as 'Cost to you after rebate' is payable.
The remainder of the fee is payable when the pathology results of the excision are returned to your GP. This entire amount is claimable from Medicare as a rebate
