Before you book

For Medicare rebates on counselling, see your usual GP first for a Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral (how it works). Assessments are privately billed. Some practitioners take a booking fee that comes off your consult fee and is kept if you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice.
